Ring spots on orchid leaves
Default Ring spots on orchid leaves

Help please!!!
There're many black ring spots on my cattlaya's leaves. Is this caused by virus? How can I treat this orchid? Is there any way I can save it? Thank you very much!

Well, hopefully it's not a virus. If it is fungal-related, then a systematic anti-fungal treatment of some kind might be a good start. Do you have mancozeb anti-fungal treatment?

Where is this plant usually located? If orchids don't get enough decent air-circulation (gentle moving air around the plant most or all of the time), then it can lead to conditions like this.

Hello SouthPark,
Thank you for the reply. I purchased this orchid from a vender through Facebook. It came with those spots. He said that this is sunburn, but I don't believe that's sunburn mark's though.
By the way, what is mancozeb anti-fungal treatment? I live in Canada. I couldn't find any physan 20 anywhere...

I also don't think they're sunburn marks at this moment. I was just checking ----- seems like mancozeb is probably not available to use in canada. Another kind of fungicide is called thiomyl, or cleary's 3336. Physan 20 isn't a systematic fungicide.
