Default Blisters on phal leaves

Hello,

I have a phal Everspring something or another that I've had since last December. Part of the name was illegible on the pot and the people at my local HD never have a clue. When I first got the plant it had some white scratch mark looking things on the leaves. I didn't pay much attention to pests and diseases at the time because, as a new orchid owner, I was still trying to learn more about light, water and fertilizer for the different types of orchids.

Well, now the leaves on this thing has these raised, bubbly, blister like things on the top and bottom surfaces. In the middle of each blister there is a white part that feels rough and dried up. I looked through Marco's pest link but didn't find anything like this. Is it some kind of pest or just cosmetic?

Thanks,
Tracy

Tracy

Your first pic looks like it may have come from mechanical damage (something hit the leave and scared it. Hail will even do this) The second pic I don't believe I have ever seen this before or I have never looked that close at my leaves. In any event to be on the cautious side I would take ground cinnamon and put some on the top and bottom of the leave and rub it into these spots on the leaves using your thumb and index finger. If it is a fungus this should take care of it. Other wise from what I see the plant looks very healthy.
