Purple rings forming??
Hello I am beginnner with orchids only having a small collection. But in one of my orchids a issue has arose with purple rings forming on my Brassavola orchid. This has not been something that I have seen in the past and am wondering the best way to deal with it going forward in treatment. It seems to be something new that came since purchasing. This orchid was previously treated for scale and reapotted waiting for new root growth before I mount. Since the purple ring/markings appeared on leafs that werent even treated. Anyone have any insite on this or suspitions?
i was thinking it would be a dieases or virus possibly.

The photos are a bit fuzzy, but I don't see anything to worry about. Higher resolution, sharp photos may help me see what you are seeing.
If you had scale, sometimes the place where the scale insect was attached will leave a mark.

I will attach better pictures to this post now. But doesn’t it look like it might be viral with the purple rings forming? They aren’t raised or sunken in so it can’t be scale or anything. I’m thinking right now maybe fungal or virus. But i’ve never had a virus and always sterilized my tool prior to using with 91% isopropyl alcohol so I’m hoping right now it won’t transfer. I got this as a bag baby from Lowe’s a week ago

Try to increase the resolution of the photo. Or if you zoom in ..... then zoom into the region, and make the camera get sharp focus on that region --- so that the region of interest is very clear to see.

Looks like small injuries with a little pigmentation around it. I agree with rbarata, it does not look like virus; IMO, doesn't look like any disease I can think of. Remote possibility it is fungal, but I don't think so.

That was my first thought at the moment I saw the photos.

I agree with rbarata and orchidwhisperer. Doesn't appear to be viral. Maybe plant damage due to getting nibbled on by some insect or mite or something.
Just keep an eye on those leaves. If that leaf, or other ones don't have any increase in the number of those marks ------ then no need for any concern.
Did these marks appear only after you received the plant? Or they appeared while growing at your place? And - is this plant grown outside of your home, or inside?

It is grown indoors with all my other plants. I have some orchids outside but I have most of my plants hanging and on window sills. The spots were already formed when I bought the plant but i was super worried if it was viral because I definitely don’t think it is any fungal infection or bacterial because it doesn’t look like any I have seen. And I don’t know any pests that can make those purple colorations. And I know that some viruses can form rings that what made me wonder.
