Fungal Root Rot? Please help!
Default Fungal Root Rot? Please help!

My absolute favorite orchid has suddenly become very sad. Its a hybrid (https://www.orchidweb.com/orchids/mi...sman-hot-spicy), and when i came in to my office one of the bulbs was completely yellow/orange, and some leaves were about dead. I used the super helpful link at the top of this forum (thank you!) and my guess is that it is fungal root rot, but wanted to confirm with some more seasoned eyes. I really appreciate your help!

That's an old pseudobulbs thatsfailing, so you mat safely remove it.

The other affected leaf will fade away anyway, as it loses its primary purpose once those pseudobulbs mature. Trim off an inch below the wounds.

It's hard to be certain from the photo, but that old potting medium does look a bit sad, so it's probably a good idea to repot it.
