i use a cheap digital timer. the analog ones would turn the fogger on for a minimum of 15 mins which is too much for my conditions. mine is now turning on several times a day for a length of 3-7 minutes.
try large department stores or some place they sell
lights. it should be pretty easy to find. i got mine here so i'm afraid it won't be of much use for you
the timer goes between the wall socket and your plug, once you see one you'll get the idea.
it should come with the programming instructions.
Thanks! where would i find these and how do i hook them up?
Ya, large department stores or hardware stores. My local Home Depot had a decent selection. I ended up with an Intermatic DT17. Very programable and easy!
irrka-
My BF is currently designing a combo drip irrigation, automated misting and automated ionic humidifier system (so we can leave town!!) He doesn't use the forum, but I can have him post his hardware specs and timers/tubes/misters/humidifiers for you.
Good luck (and P.S - our walmart was selling ionic humidifiers or 6 dollars a pop right now!)
Mistking
Looking for a misting system? Look no further. Automated misting systems from MistKing are used by multitude of plant enthusiasts and are perfect for Orchids. Systems feature run dry pumps, ZipDrip valve, adjustable black nozzles, per second control! Automatically mist one growing shelf or a greenhouse full of Orchids.
those timers are not the greatest, ive had at least 5 break on me in the last few years. after having them replaced repeatedly, ive sent some back to intermatic. they recognize a significant failure in the operation of thier timers, they are "taking all necessary actions" to improve the products, but that could be a while off. infact, all the intermatic digital timers are pretty much a waste of money. ive used them in a wide variety of applications, and they all eventually stop working.
the "grasslin" timers are actually a much better build quality.
