What do yall think are the best humidification machines and where do you get them? I am looking for one that does not have to be hooked up to a hose. I have a 8X10 ft greenhouse. I may put it on a timer if I need to fill it every day. Any suggestions? I'm new at this.

Most systems are designed to be hooked to a pressurized water supply. Without that you make things more complicated and expensive.

Here is a vendor that is an OrchidBoard sponsor. His misting systems are less expensive and should be able to use water drawn from a tank:
MistKing Misting Systems by Jungle Hobbies Ltd

How many gallons per hour of humidity do you want to provide and how many hundreds of dollars are you willing to spend? Can you do some of your own plumbing and construction?

Here is a high end, all-in-one, fog system but I suspect that it is too big and expensive for your application:
Portable Misting Fan Pump Mobile High Pressure

Some people here use the Aquafog devices:
Jaybird Manufacturing - Manufacturer of humidifing systems and fogging fans.
I have used the Aquafog 700, it will provide 1-2 gallons per hour of fog but requires a pressureized water source:

The same company also has systems with water tanks:
Jaybird Manufacturing - TurboXE HRSM Description

Hi!
Have you tried websites or stores for ornamental ponds and container water gardens? I've seen foggers for small ponds which might be adaptable for a container. They weren't terribly expensive but, then, it has been a couple of years since I last looked. (And, maybe, it isn't quite what you want.) Good luck finding what you need!

Hydrofogger.Com - Commercial and Industrial Humidifiers - Hydroponics Printing Concrete Tobacco
This has been the best humidifier I found and I looked for months before buying.

Does not need a high pressure line, just 1/4 inch waterline, just like the ice cube maker line.
I just reread your post and added this part:
You could hook up the 1/4 inch line to a five gallon bucket above the fogger and it can gravity feed the fogger.

I have had mine for 2-3 years now very reliable.
Get their humidistat so you can adjust the humidity to your needs.
The Hydrofogger does not need any adjustments, so it is plug and play. The fog is very much like real fog very buoyant and does not make a wet mess like some of the other foggers that were mentioned...
They have two models.
I do not have any affiliation with this company,
It is just the best humidifier that I found after many months of reading/researching on line.
Buy right the first time and you will not be sorry!

I agree with AHAB, I have one and it works really well, not cheap but worth every cent because of its simple installation and reliability.
Their is a YouTube clip, type in greenhouse fogger and you can see it working.
