How to make a indoor greenhouse?
I am only beginning to grow orchids an so far I only have orchids that can grow in a cool climate, but I would really like to start growing tropical orchids. I saw a picture in a book of a glass case with a wooden frame which enclosed two or three orchids. I was wondering if anyone could give me a few suggestions on how to make one?
Thankyou
Ana

I don't have any idea of how you can make one as that type of construction is WAY out of my league but there must be growing cabinets online that you could possibly buy although they will be expensive. maybe you could find an old glass fronted cabinet for sale on line or in your local newspaper ads? Have a look at these links and see if it inspires you.

There was a great article in the last AOS magazine about turning a spare room in a house (not the basement) into a greenhouse. If you would like, I can scan it and e-mail it to you. It was pretty cool.
If you are going to try terrarium, I think there is a forum here dedicated to that.

Hi, I wouldn't mind a look at that too if you would possibly email it to me too? I would be very grateful.

Why not just use an aquarium/terrarium. Im not sure what is available in Australia, but here in the US we have a company called Exoterra that makes nice terraria for animals that we can use for growing orchids. Ofcourse you will need artificial lighting also.

How to Build a Greenhouse
However i think you can find even cheap greenhouse on ebay or similar.
But you should add even some other things.
For example light if is necessary, etc.
