Default YAY for cheap muffin fans!

If you're looking for muffin fans in the Minneapolis area, check out Axe Man Surplus. TOTALLY wonderful! Many muffin fans, motors, acrylic hinges! All sorts of crazy stuff!
Anywhere else, just check for surplus stores...not necessarily "military" tho...unless you want to parachute your 'chids somewhere...

Now, I need to get my butt in gear before I get my new 'chids in a couple weeks!

When I first saw the title I wanted to move this to a different forum. I was looking for a recipe, because I myself am a muffin fan I'm just not cheap though.

Muffin fans are a slang name for computer fans aren't they?

Hypothetically speaking [as you should get a qualified electrician to do any electrical work in your home yada yada yada] they are dead easy to use.

Just buy a 12v adaptor [one that has adjustable voltage switch is good to make the fan slower or faster] strip the end of the wires off, strip the end of the wires off of the fan, match and join the wires, tape over them or whatever
turn on the power and bingo you got fannage

Plus, if you're a bit of an electrician, you can do what I'm doing and putting them on timers (and/or probably a thermostat). :-)

I just plug mine into timers.. I wish I knew how to wire up a thermostat though. The ones that you can buy that you plug things into are sooooo expensive!
