A lot of people use greatstuff on dendroboard. You apply it and then let it cure. Carve it up to whatever you're looking for and then you put silicon over it and press in cocofiber.

Some people put silicon on the back glass as well so that the greatstuff sticks better. It would be a shame for it to peal off of the glass.

Silicon isn't cheap and it usually takes more than a few tubes but it works out most of the time. As far as dendroboard goes, we all stay away from the stuff with microban for fear of what the effects may be on the amphibians.
