Tell me more.
Yes the Monnit stuff is serious but I searched for many months for something which will itself not fail when the power goes off and this has battery backup. With such unpredictable power supplies I have been caught by either power failures or equipment malfunctions - always on the coldest nights of course. Now I can rest easy to be alerted by SMS when boundaries are violated so I can get moving to switch to emergency systems. One has to take a view on balance of cost against the value of plants so with several hundred in two greenhouses I just need that insurance. Oncidiinae and in particular Odontoglossums are my thing.
