I'd love to live in a climate where orchids go feral!
Very brave of you to go so far up a ladder to take photos. but it was worth it, those blooms are stunning.

I will have to check later as it's telling me the sight is asleep. Hum, a new one on me?

I had forgotten about that.
They began shutting down the free hosted sites for 1 hour a day.
They call it sleeping.
I think it is an inducement to try getting the free hosting users to change over to paid hosting.

I set mine up to shut down from 4 to 5am @ GMT -10, Hawaii time.
One more reason I'm thinking of changing over to a paid hosting.

I didn't even know that there was a free option, other than the 30 day free trial. Still, I think the paid option is a good deal, and if I weren't self-hosting my piwigo account I would gladly pay (though self-hosting probably works out to be more expensive).

I've used free hosting for many years.
I have never paid for hosting.
There are many web hosts that offer it.
Some are worth using, others are not.
The one I'm using now is a pretty good one.

I've looked into their low cost paid hosting and do not like their terms of service.
It's the same as their free hosting ToS.
Their ToS gives them the right to use any data you place in their service as they see fit.
If they want to and if they can, they could sell your photos.
I can deal with that if I'm being given free hosting.
I will not allow it if I'm paying for the hosting.
That's why I began watermarking my photos.

I've found another low cost hosting service with a ToS I can accept.
Plus, they cost less and guarantee your rate is fixed and will never increase.
But, I feel guilty about leaving the free host for another because they have given good service.
So, I'm wishy-washing around about leaving them for another host.

I am so tight I squeak.
I will end up going with the best deal I can get.

My parents grew up during the '30s, the Depression.
They were very frugal people.
I had that instilled into me as I grew up even though I was never financially deprived.
I get maximum mileage out of everything I spend.

OK, back to orchids:
My Den. lindleyi has just about maxed.
Took this photo a few minutes ago.
