I love Spanish moss! Several years ago I began growing Tillandsias, I had a sizable collection. Some vendors used Spanish moss as their packing material inside the box of plants. I still have a clump of it and use it in terrariums and add it to plant baskets mostly because it looks nice. It has the tiniest lavender flowers that are easily missed. My clump hangs out in a grow tent and does well, it keeps me supplied with the pinches I like to add here and there in pots.

I would think Spanish moss would thrive for you!

Beautiful!!! I prefer to grow all my plants outdoors as well. I'm lucky to live in such a mild climate.
