Glorious! How well all these have done since the end of June. A new kind of Christmas tree that your grandma is smiling at. Merry Christmas to you.

Here's another update. The orchids are looking pretty fantastic. The sharry baby has finally bloomed, and the other one has a spike. One of the cattleyas has 2 buds and several other have sheaths, so we'll see!

Unfortunately this summer hasn't been the best for my plants. We usually get a lot of sunshine and it consistently rains in the late afternoon, which in combination with the high temperatures make the orchids grow incredibly fast.

Well.. not this year. We've had half the average hours of sunshine so far and with less than a month before fall starts I don't think things are going to change.

Anyway, here are some more updates:

Blc. Nobile’s Honey "Colomba" - flowering for the first time. It's 10 feet high and I could smell them from the ground!

The Dendrobium kingianum looked dead for a couple of months and lost most of its leaves, but once we started getting rain regularly it picked up. First it grew tiny bulbs but the new ones are as big as the ones it had when I bought it. Hoping for some flowers this winter!

And another sharry baby spike. This one is like a weed.
