DIY Orchid Poles
I run out of space for my orchids, so I begin to make 2 orchid poles using 6" PVC pipes and rope fibers for phals and dendros.
The poles are made moveable so when the orchids bloom, I'll move them inside the house
Still waiting for the rope fibers to arrive. The plan is to soak them in fungicides and then insecticide, and air dry them before installation.

Painted them black. I'll also paint the mortar black in a few weeks after they completely dry.

Got the rope fibers (we called it "tali ijuk", made from Arenga pinnata) delivered. Soaked them in fungicide and insecticide, and then air dried them.
And my handyman started to wrap the poles

This may be the slowest steps: adding orchids to the poles.
One is for phal, another is for dendro, all is hybrid. Because my goal is to always have blooming orchids in each of these poles.

Looking good. A very interesting project. I never would have thought to add fungicide and insecticide.

Thanks.
It's rainy season, almost raining all day long, so fungicide weekly especially for phal hybrid.
