Default Winter in the lower Sonoran Desert

We're not always above 100 F / 38C. Last night I put an ice cube tray filled with water on my truck hood / bonnet. This morning it was frozen solid.

Your climate is more or less similar to mine, with large temp extremes during the year, too hot and too dry in summer and cold in winter. But I guess in Phoenix it's more extreme than here.
