Community dog park project new update
Community dog park project - so I did take a camera during this rainy day and went to take few updated pics in our doggy park where I have started some "orchid invasion" last year and this spring. Orchids are left to nature only - so water when it rains, fertilizer when the birds poop, and light as the sun shifts through out the year. Some did not make it, some were stolen, but many seems to enjoy the park. There are mostly Dendros, Tetramicra, Brassavola, Spathoglottis, terete Vanda, some Cymbidiums in the ground (snails are loving those!),Oncidiums, Epidendrums and Oeceoclades too. The roots ar starting to attach to the trees and new growths emerge everywhere, so I hope by next year there will be finally some spikes :-) Have a great Sunday!

It looks like you're using plastic to attach some of them. Could I suggest that you stick to twine to attach them, which will rot away over time. Plastic and wire will dig into the branches and cut of circulation eventually if you're not planning on removing it all.

Hi Jean, thanks for the reply, I am sorry I got to this thread late, was very busy. Yes, it is actually turning very well, I am going to divide my huge Grammatophyllum so I will add that one too, and some people promise some division or orchids, so if they come, they go to the park:-) I will take anything, hahaha:-)

Thanks for the suggestion, my intention is to remove all these things once the roots attach, and hold, I do not like to leave anything there, I want it as natural as possible :-)

Many thanks Norma, unfortunately most of your Epidendrums were eaten by either lizards or some other creatures :-) So I will need to add more, probably mount rather than place into the soil next time, few are still holding! There are some of your Dendrobium keikis too! So many thanks to you!!!
