Wow! I can sympathize. A few years ago we had a "micro-burst" in our neighborhood. There was literally a line of destruction crossing through our backyard. Neighbors had trees down, windows explode, etc... I came home and found nothing out of place but my orchids. Pots were thrown around, smashed and mangled. Although they didn't suffer from any cold, they did survive. I truly hope yours survive as well!
We can't control a lot of things. We just have to accept some things as they are and move forward.
