Some of my vandas in my trees
I'm really excited because my husband created a pully system for me so that I can get some if my vandas in and out of my trees!!! I need all the help I can get because I'm only 5 foot!!! Lol!!
It is hard to get a great picture of the system because if I take one from the ground my vandas blend in, with the exception of my pots/basket and the yellow leaf on my vandopsis that was damaged when it was shipped. All of my windows have screens so it makes pictures from my windows a little blurry.
Thanks for looking!! And a big hooray for tall husbands who aren't afraid to get up on ladders!!!

Thanks so much for the compliment Fern's Daddy!! I will pass it on to my husband, as the pulley system and hard work are all him!
They get full morning sun from sunrise until around 11:15, they are protected by the trees from the mid-day sun, but it still comes through the trees. They work as my free shade clothes! Then they get full evening sun from about 6:00 until sunset.
I'm watching them carefully in regards to the lighting. So far, so good!

The Vandas are happy in that environment.
Lots of bright shaded light and air circulation....the humidity this time of year in your atmosphere can be a great help for those kind of plants.

Bud, they definitely thrive in our summer weather. I'm just so excited my husband was able to create a system that allows me to lower them and adjust their height as I see fit!

Thank you! Unfortuneatly, I lost the tree, the system and some orchids to a very bad storm! The good news is: no one was hurt, my house wasn't damaged and most of the orchids that fell from the tree look like they're going to pull through.
