RJ: If you haven't already thought of it/done it, recycle your shadecloth over the top of the greenhouse, with about a 6" gap between the shadecloth and the plastic/glass of your greenhouse roof. Make sure the shadecloth is well tensioned, and it will act a bit like a trampoline and the hail will just bounce off without causing damage to the underlying greenhouse.
