Well, we are, technically, not on the coast. So, yes, the plants come in during cold weather. Especially last winter. It got COLD here. I have a 14' x 16' GH that I cram my plants into. I really need a larger one with a different design.

Wow, your plants look so clean, healthy and well grown! How do you keep everything so uniform looking?? Looks like many blooms will be appearing in the future with plants like those.

thanks you
and its been a rough tought hot month for my friends and family. People don't live forever. We just dont like being confronted with them facts too often. Without saying too much...and I dont like missing my orchid stuff, but life keeps naggin at me some still...Nagged a lot this month.

No deaths from the heat in my orchid family at day 19 over 100 temps.. I notice today I had a very nice breeeze, I looked to see if I had left the dryer door open...nope its just 101 degrees and will make you sick if you stay out in it too long and dont drink enough water..oooops..Winter? uhhh I never had any live over the summer. I get to take these inside?

And thanks too for noticing my obsessive compulsive habits...I want them all to be the same size pots and on the same rows 3 rails apart and 2 rails back from each other..Like orchid army men all lined up...Okey I am not nuts, I keep them stashed

I left my fertilizer in its jar outside over night..and the next day most of the day. Ugh It liquefied. Turned dry fertilizer into mud. The humidity overnight made just enough moisture and then mixed with dry stuff and heat during the day to make mud. I hope a tablespoon is still a tablespoon

Could you tell me which orchid family this orchid (the one I've circled) is from? I've a similar looking one and I need to ID, atleast the family so I can care for it better!

thats a BC Makai 'Mayumi'. still alive too and kickin 15 new babies after hail damage

here is a more recent but not the most recent picture, the BC is in the bottom left corner. There are several BC hybrids that the bulbs and leaves look very similar.

It not beat up there and looked good .just about started all over I cut off so many damaged leaves off

It made me first think of a Masdie from the pic... obviously RJSquirrel knows what it is as it's his plant... but I just wonder if yours is actually the same or not.

Can you post pictures of yours to help confirm if it's the same or something completely different.

Rosie

The shelves are great. Your plants all look very healthy. I wish my growing area was that neat and organized. Good job.
