Well, it did fizzle out, but since then, we've had LOTS of rain. I prepared like I normally do by treating with fungicides. Even if I bring them indoors, this is a good idea.
Depending on the severity of the storm, I may drop them to the ground, or hang them in my garage. Since its a single bay garage, already packed with shelves on both sides, bringing my chids in is a real PIA. Last count was about 200 altogether.
As noted, I use fungicide even if I bring them in. Inside there is no natural breeze, and even with a fan, they still stay wet for a long period of time. Outside in the summer, I can water one day, and be bone dry the next (Flawiduh heat).

Ugh. Don't get me wrong I love it when it rains, but enough is enough! I thought I was going to have a break today, but just had a shower.
200 orchids!!! That is a PIA when you have to bring them in. I think of any tedious gardening task as a freebie workout
Oh, Florida...
