For the most part of the year I grow outdoors. I recently moved into this house and am going to have to be creative when winter comes along. I will probably put all my chids on rolling racks to take in and out of the garage. For now though they are happily growing under shifting shade in the back yard.
This is the first group strung up on a very strong cable:
The second group was on this table but I was running out of room fast:
So I commissioned a local carpenter to make me a new bench and it was perfect. I might even order another one:
I had him add on thin strips of wood on the back so I could hang orchis from there too:
The smaller table is already filling up again:
A few other recent aqusitions:
Huge Sharry Baby:
I have a few others hanging around in the yard I have 6 vandas hanging on hooks around the house also.
Wow! I'm impressed! They all look happy and healthy. Thanks for showing us.
For the most part they are pretty healthy. This has been the best year for my chids because of this new setup I created.

They all look so happy.
It took two tries to get that right. I under estimated the weight the first time and the cable snapped and sent them all crashing to the ground!

It does give them excellent air circulation and shifting shade all day long. I am so happy with how they are all coming along.

I am in FL. Glad you like the grow area. I enjoy poking around out there everyday and looking for new growths and sheaths.

I am so glad you all enjoyed my growing area. I hope to one day have them all in a greenhouse where they will be protected from severe weather and naughty little critters who like to dig them out of their pots.
Thanks for the pics. Here some people grow as yours but because of heavy rain falls flowers drape down and do not last long .that is the disadvantage.
But yours are great indeed.
