Where to put my plants on outdoor table
I have a plant table approx. 4'x20' where I put my orchid plants in the summer after taking them out of the GH. It is oriented roughly north/south. One part gets direct sun in the AM another part in the PM. A large number of my plants need high light-Catts, Brassavola, Laelia, etc.
My question is: Would the plants be better off receiving morning sun or afternoon sun or doesn't it really matter.
I have no real control over this due to the large trees in my yard so all I can do is situate the plants in the optimum place.
I know that the sun's pattern changes as the year progresses so there will probably be changes in the amount of sun/shade on the table. Last year I had problems with sunburn due to Hurricane Ike's depredations but this year the trees have put out a lot of growth so I am a bit in the dark right now. (Or should I say, in the light). Thanks for any advice.
