YIKES!! One reason I hate growing outdoors!

OMG!!! I HATE SNAKES!!
THEY SCARE ME TO DEATH!! No matter the size!

I was out taking pics of my babies in bloom this morning for you all.
When I looked up to the top of my chid hotel, I see this looking down at me!!
Gave me goose bumps the size of TEXAS!!

It's a Black Racer, so I know it's good for my yard. But still, I hate them! Give me the willies soooo bad!

He wasn't caught in the trap either. The trap is for Rats that eat the hell out of my chids for breakfast!


Oh ya, speaking of snakes, and willies, did ya all see this one in Central FL., Apopka... YIKES!!

We woke up to find one taking a swim in our pool last week

I read about the python in this morning's paper!!!

I first thought they had found it in the wild somewhere but no! It's a pet!!!

Just keep a safe distance and don't be afraid. Humans are not a part of his menu and it's unlikely that he'll try to bite unless you try to touch or threaten him. Keep a safe distance and be grateful that he's looking for your destructive rodents.

It's scary when these pets are released or escape. Think of all the potentially reproductive Pythons that have not been captured and have not made the news. They do manage to survive. Remember the news report about the one that died trying to eat the alligator?

Very nice pic! It looks like he is doing a better job of catching mice than the traps are (hehe)! Maybe you should get rid of the traps and keep him. Those traps are very cruel and often catch the wrong critters. My neighbor but one out in the shrubbery for rats but a duck stepped on it and got trapped and died before she noticed. All of her ducklings died too. It was a very depressing site. I am anti-trap now. But pro-snake!

Nice looking snake! They are so useful. We have a friendly grass snake living in the stone wall in the garden and it hunts some of the mice/rats (although it prefers frogs and toads) that go after some of the veggies. But I really don't like the poisonous vipers we also have!
