So far it's been pretty mild here. Days in mostly 70s, nights in 50s - 60s. But it's been pretty dry, not much rain going on here. Still, things are growing/spiking.
Jan is the coldest month, where it may get to 40s and maybe 30s for a day or two. |

I am tired of snow! I have been snowbound for a week, can't get out of my parking lot.Every time I shovel more snow falls. Vancouver and the Fraser Valley don't get snow!! So very little in the way of plowing and salting.Nor do we invest in snow tires here. Why should we! we usually only get 5 to 10 cm a year and it lasts 3 days and goes away again. I live in a temperate Rainforest!!.... I want my rain:(( :scratchhead: I can't believe I'm saying this.

Well, winter in Miami has been great. We usually get our coldest weather at the end of december and the beginning of january, but thus far I think it hasn't gotten lower than 70 degrees. There's lots of wind and it's not too hot. :) I'm loving this winter. :):):):):)

Last night got below freezing, the tubs of water I leech my cocohusk in had a 1/4 in layer of ice over all of them...
Still no frost damage on my orchids though, due to being under eves, trees or shadecloth. My Bananas are another story though  I have to say that the biggest cause for ugly leaves on outdoor orchids is not cold water, they dont mind that. It's sleet/hail that makes them look like they have albino chicken pox. |
Hey Rogerman how's the work situation down there???
