here you can see some of them:

The Strelitzia plant is called Bird of Paradise, because the inforescence is supposed to resemble this one

and since I was in the mood in this video you can also see some mannakins, which are from south and central america, and are my favorite birds colours and behavour can be compared to those ofthe Birds of Paradise
Hi Thank you for the post the whole thing is fabulous
there is no need for me to post any images.

WOW that is amazing thank you. human males go thru a lot of hard work too to attract females but that last bird in the first video takes the cake.I made a total fool of myself many times but, I pale in comparison LOL. I don't have to feel bad about all the dumb things I did when I was youngernow
Thanks again

so Sue, already learned to do the Moon Walk

mannakins are amazing... I loved it, everytime I found them dancing in the forest in Venezuela Each species has a very particular coreography, which normally matches very well the colours of the plumage (or the other way around )

Swamper, if you mean the Birds of Paradise, no, I have never been to Asia... last year I wanted to go to Borneo for one month, but then I ended up learning french in Paris...

if you mean the Mannakins yes, big YES, I used to work as Birdwatchers guide in venezuela (while student) and then, before I moved to Europe I worked for 10 months in the amazonian forest... I have seen 16 of the 22 species reported for Venezuela.

oh man, you are so fortunate to have been there, and working? getting paid? geez some people have all the luck.
I think if I was in the amazonian forest I may never come out....live like an apeman, like the song says...
