In the first pic of mine, can you see below the flower the little bud or branch that is developing? Does it look like a bud to you or a branch? I am just curious...only time will tell what it is for sure!

I saw them at R.F. Orchids last week and I kept coming back to it. Smells great too. Someone told me they didn't do well in my area so I backed off. Your area is just a tad colder I hope it does great for you.

Well, I think it would be worth giving it a try just based on the smell alone! It smells great for most of the day.

Junebug mounted hers to a palm tree (in Melborne which is the same zone as me) and it survived TS. Fay. I don't know if they said it woudl get too warm where you are, but I can't imagine that being the problem. I think it would fine for you! I have only had mine for about 6 weeks though so we will have to see. It will be coming inside if the temps will be below 50 overnight.

I see three little branches starting on your bloom spike...one below the lowest bloom, and two more, above and below the clip. They look exactly like the branches showing on my long spike in the first photo, before they took off. I'm excited for you!

You should have no problem growing the Trgl. brachiata in the Miami area. They are warm growing plants. I grow mine right along with my other vandaceous plants, living just on the cusp between zone 10a and 10b.

Yesss!!! That is what I was hoping you would say. I just couldn't believe that they were single blooms each or nothing at all. They look too much like multiple blooms to me to be ignored and wait for them to develop! I had to ask about them now! LoL. Thanks again! I can't wait. I am going away for the weekend, so upon my return it should be looking pretty exciting!
