Default Ponds

I know a lot of orchid people have ponds. I thought it would be interesting to see them and hear about them, I guess this the right place to put this thread, so I'll go first. My pond is about 1800 gls it's home to a Lotus, 4 different water lilies, 2 Pickerel plants, floating Hyacnth, a Calla lilly, dwarf Papryus, and I don't know how many Koi and gold fish. Enjoy.

Mine's not so energetic as yours but is part of a natural ecosystem setup: Mine is not chemically controlled, except for mosquitos rings. Mine doesn't have filters or pumps. It serves to provide a part of the wetland habitat I am providing in my NWF certified habitat. I really like yours, esthetically, however. It's really nice. How do you maintain yours over winter?

Good thread. I too, have a little garden pond. It is not nearly as natural looking as all of yours. Nice pics!

Preformed. I wasn't aware of alternatives when I did mine.

Wink My Koi Pond (ponds)

Hi everyone

I only have One Koi Pond right now, but pics/videos of my present and (past) one are in the link below.

We had to build one in the back yard, as we had a huge problem with a kid fishing in my Koi pond while away at work, SHE killed some of my babies

So we built bigger, better and much deeper in the locked back yard now Thank God!! Only took me 5 yrs, and a child to go fishing in the front, to get my husband to start digging in the back!

But, she's done now, and my babies are sooooo dang happy!!!!
And soooo are WE!! No more worries while we're at work!!

We have 22 Koi in there, and 2 gold fish. And lots of plants.

This picture is the present one in the back yard.

And here's the Link to Both of them, and numerous lilies and lotus, water plants too.

There are two videos in this link as well, that show me Hand Feeding my babies
