Haha the funny thing is.. this design is an attempted replica/ modified version of a homemade guinea pig cage my dad made for me as a child

If you will check this thread out it will answer your question.
Since I use plastic pots, I drilled a couple of holes in the rim a couple of inches apart and tied them on the lattice with fishing line.
Hope this helps, if not, ask again.

In nature orchids get rained upon....phals just need to dry out before days ends to prevent crown rot. Some orchids growers I know collect rain water all the time....better than city water and even some well water. Good luck whatever way you choose.
