Martin Motes wrote a book, Florida Orchid Growing: Month by Month, available on the Motes Orchids Web site. I find it very useful, even in a very different climate.

Today their promotional E-mail mentions the chapter on orchid cold tolerance is available to read free as a sample. Another chapter, on where to grow orchids in your garden in Florida, is also available free.
