Non-Native Epiphytic Orchids Volunteering In Florida?

Have you heard of any non-native epiphytic orchids volunteering in Florida? Here are the ones that I've heard of...

Brassavola nodosa, Cymbidium aloifolium and Epidendrum ciliare (source)

I noticed "epiphytic" before throwing Oeceoclades into the mix (mostly terrestrial). I would be interested to find out too. I've heard about the ones you have already listed, and I'm fairly confident there are a host of others.

Seems like Florida is a state where volunteers can easily get a toe-hold ~ both flora and fauna.

In a park, no telling who might have put it there. Look up "guerilla gardening." I'm one of many people I know who sneak extras into public landscapes. With our extreme climate we don't worry much about things becoming invasive.

i am not sure what you are asking...like what CAN grow here?

i have probably 45 different species/hybrids in my trees mostly in the phal and den Genus. i have nobiles and den phal hybrids and schoms all in many trees. Onc as well and i am also having SOME luck with catesetums on a palm trunk

if you are asking for the ones that show up on their own, i have only seen ground orchids and enc tampensis

I'm asking which non-native orchids show up on their own on trees. Two basic requirements...

1. successful pollination
2. fungus for germination

Do you ever see any seed pods on your Phals, Dens and other non-native epiphytes?

I would love to grow epiphytes outside. We get serious overnight frost almost every year, and many rainless months featuring humidity at or below 10%. Spider mites have managed to naturalize in the desert, as well as several noxious imported winter-rainfall plants.
