A Pregnant What?
A Pregnant Onion, otherwise known as Ornithogalum Longibracteatum. This is a fascinating plant to grow.

Holy cow! I've always wanted one of those, but I'm afraid of them because they're poisonous. I don't want a kitty taking a chomp...or me...on accident. But it's soooo pretty and neat!!

Blondie, don't be afraid of the plant. Your kittiy will probably give it a try and vomit here AND/or there, but it will learn soon not to eat it anymore. My two cats have already lots of experience trying poisonous plants (and me cleaning the floor ) but they learn rather quick...

OK, so it's not something that would make me drop dead if I touched it and then scratched my lip? Good to know. Any time I see the word "poisonous" it makes me a little nervous.

JFYI, many of the plants we usually have in our homes are poisonous...

but really, don't worry about Ornitogallus. They are indeed very poisonous but only if you eat them, which I think/hope is not your goal...
