Need help with orchid project
My name is Jim Miller. My father was friends with Raleigh Burney back in the 1960s and he took us out to the Everglades on a few orchid spotting trips, after which my father (who just passed away recently) would take me out to locations given to him by Mr. Burney (hope I'm spelling the name correctly). Fast forward to 2015. I am working on a project (which, for a number of reasons I cannot discuss here, but it has nothing to do with removing a single orchid) and I need to find someone who is familiar with any remaining stands of orchids. In 2012 I visited a number of "hot spots" my dad and I hit in the '60s and '70s but there were no orchids to be found. I am hoping someone will be kind enough to offer to act as my guide (paid, of course) in hopes of seeing at least some of the plants I remember and relive my most cherished memories of growing up in south Florida. I sincerely hope someone can help me here. I cannot tell you just how important this is to me and thank you in advance for reading this and hopefully helping.
Most sincerely,
Jim Miller
