I suggested mounting it, because I saw you are from Malaysia and I thought you would not have too much troubles with humidity...

But if you mention "soggy soil" I am afraid simply your roots are rotting and then just transplanting it in a better orchid mix would also be ok.

If you could post pics, probably better experts could help more...

I will try to post pic.it is in the sphag and bag method, to grow new roots which have been cutted down.in malaysia here the wheater is very bad, it is the dry season.rivers are now drying up and the samll river located near where I live had dry up.trees are burning and dead and all other animla are dying.but when its moonson the river flood till the city is covered by water until the roof.can you imagine that the river is three kilometres away and your house flood until the roff.crazy right
