Aerangis verdickii growing in situ
Aerangis verdickii growing and flowering in natural woodland just outside Harare, Zimbabwe. The plants were growing quite high up in the tree, about 6 metres. Sorry I am not a professional photographer, so I was just snapping like crazy, hoping that at least one or two would be reasonable enough to post.
But the point I would like to make is this species is best grown mounted. I live in quite a dry environment here in Harare, we only get rain for 4 months in the year, so it would be better not to grow them too wet, allow them to dry between waters but maintain a reasonable good humidity.

How fortunate to be near an orchid environment.

Good pics of the plant and flowers. A bit more of the surrounding environment would help me to understand conditions better. Thanks for this helpful post.
