Yellow Lady's Slippers, Eastern Fairy Slippers and Ozette Coralroots
This was the ninth week of the 2013 season, the week of June 2-8, a very good week in which we revisited the site of the Yellow Lady's Slippers, and in which we saw for the first time in Washington, the Eastern Fairy Slipper, which blooms considerable later than the Western variety. We found several nearly all white/yellow Western Coralroots, the Ozette Coralroots were blooming and we found what appeared to be a hybrid or intermediate form between them and the Spotted Coralroots.
