Default Seventh Week of the Native Orchid Season, 2013 - Lots of Coralroots

Mostly Coralroots the week of May 19 to 25. The photo is of the Striped Coralroot, but there are more photos of the Western Coralroot and Spotted Coralroot on my blog.

Thanks, Rosie. They are amazing plants with no leaves, no chlorophyll and a root system that looks like a mass of coral.

What a beautiful flower!
Plants are just amazing. I love the variety and the amazing ways that they have adapted to their environment. I never get bored learning about plants.

These are gorgeous. Great pattern on the flowers.
