Thanks, both of you, for taking the time to look and read. Naoki, I found information on the net that theya re pollinated by Queen Bumblebees and that they mimic these bees and thus effect pollination. Have to say, though, that I've never seen the bees around them. Oh, and by the way, no mosquitoes here.

I love things in the wild.I keep hoping I will find some in the Big Horns when we are hiking. I go looking for mushrooms and find allot of them. I know I don't know what I am looking for but one never knows.

You should be able to find them in the Bighorns. There are quite a number of orchids native to that area.
