Two Visits to Washington Park to see the Orchids Female

The best way to visit the Wagner is to take Highway 16 west, and it is just past the Villeneuve exit, on the left hand side. It is worth the visit - this area was set aside as a nature reserve, and has a bog area, meadows and forest. Lots to explore. Mid to end June is the best for orchids, but be sure to bring bug repellent - the mosquitoes are unreal! It is totally different from the Clifford Lee nature center.
