Wonderful Ron! I love the shape on that pouch and the delicate spotting.

Can I ask something. Do your purposefully mist the flowers before photographing them, or do they just tend to be that way. It really makes a good picture and just made me wonder.

Rosie, I never mist anything. In this case and in the photos of the Amerorchis taken at the same time, the flowers were very wet with dew or rain from the night before.

There are several reasons why I don't. (1) I like to photograph them as they are though that often presents some real challenges (thus no black cloth or artificial backgrounds. (2) quite often we are hiking or back packing and I already carry a bunch of camera equipment and anything extra would just be more to carry.
