The Spiranthes are starting to pop up. I hope to photograph some additional species in this genus this year. I really like these orchids. I have heard of them growing among Calopogons, so hopefully I come across that! Throw a Sacoila in the mix and we are set...

Thank you Dave, I appreciate that. Nice to hear from you as well!

I've been thinking a lot about that Spiranthes you showed me in the Fakahatchee last year. Did you ever get a positive ID on that species?

I should have some REALLY cool shots to post in about two weeks. Keep a lookout!

Yea I did but can't remember it off hand. I have it written down somewhere. I post it here when I find it. Looking forward to them.

I need to get out and try to find those S. vernalis I found in the Orlando area about two years ago...all I have is a crappy shot taken about 8 years ago with a 4mp Sony camera...definitely need to get a higher-quality shot.

Prem,

What do you mean? What about these shots? Photo Page 1 for the Spring Ladies' Tresses (Spiranthes vernalis)

That's the crappy shot I was referring to...it is only 4mp, so it is dicey to enlarge it beyond about 8x10.
