Default Lady's Slipper - natural hybrid (blog update)

This is the Columbia Lady's Slipper, Cypripedium x columbianum, a natural hybrid of Cyp.montanum, the Mountain Lady's Slipper and Cyp. parviflorum, the Yellow Lady's Slipper.

The new blog update has pictures and a description.

I agree. It's a really nice flower, but when you compare it to either of the parents they are even nicer. I'm a big fan of both of the parents.

Thanks for looking, Rosie. Never tire of seeing any of these, but the two parents are still the favorites. We know one location where the Yellow Lady's Slipper grows by the thousands. It is awesome.
