Hiya,

I've been doing alittle research in regards to this native orchid. The only thing that puzzles me is whether it keeps it's leaves through out the year or does it die back. Any thoughts on this?

It dies back during the beginning of fall.

That's not quite the response I was looking for. I was kinda thinking that it maybe with a little luck followed the same path as a Aplectrum hyemale. As having a leaf present through out the year. It sure would make it alot easier to locate one this fall/winter. And not have to wait til next spring.

But enough of my rambling I appreciate the response.

I think you can still catch them now. I wouldn't wait too much longer. I don't know if you'd be able to see them in bloom though, maybe you might luck out, idk.
