Default Cyp. reginae in Upstate NY

I found a bunch of these spotted along a trail going through a bog, beautiful to see growing wild The dark one was a nice suprise aswell!

Wonderful to see them in the wild. I bought one of these recently and I just love to see how it grows in nature.

Beautiful!! Do these only grow in bog like habitats? I'm in Ithaca NY for the next few months and was hoping to go out and find some of these this weekend, but seeing how hot spring was I was afraid that they were already done.

These are so rare in Britain they thought they were extinct but this year there have been a couple reported in the press this year - you are so lucky!!!

Hahaha, well thank you, yeah I only know of this location for reginae, I hope to locate some more populations elsewhere.

(Camille) I live a half an hour south of Ithaca :P in Van Etten, if you want some good spots I could give you directions

Thanks for the offer, but I don't have a car so I can only go as far as the Ithaca bus lines will take me. It's good to know that they're still in bloom, I'll go have a look around the boggy areas I know of here.
