Someone needs to check in and let us know what you saw today!

Meaning we saw two ghosts flowering, which is awesome!!! Hot like Africa hot. Pretty dry for the most part. Thanks for the cold sodas in your car Dave, I REALLY needed that. Can't wait to go back.

It was hot today! Thermometer measured 110 in my shade house at 3pm. I hosed the whole thing down, plants, screen, wood, etc. and brought the temp down to 90! And that actually felt relatively comfortable. So I know you were hot out there, but the water helps keep you cool. Summer is here for sure. Post some pics of the ghosts when you get a chance. Sorry I missed them.

110? Is that all? Ok here are the 2 flowering ones and a couple of other nice finds. Hope you guys like them.
The last 2 are of Bletia purpurea. It's a "terrestial, sometimes semi-epiphytic on floating logs" you can see the leaf in the whole plant picture. Kasper's dad spotted this one, and I know Justin has some real great pictures of it.
The first one I need Dave's help to ID it again

I wont post any pics because Joe basically has it covered but all I have to say it was a great trip. And I was very suprised to see that there are orchids everywhere out there which really suprised me. The ghosts were the best!!! Very rough terrain but well worth the effort to see nature at its finest. It was fun and glad I got to meet Joe, Dave and Justin.
