How cool is that? In pic #1, spotted the roots, but could not pick out the seed pods. Pic #2 took several looks even to locate the ghost. Still can't see the pods. However did you spot that from the ground? How high up is it? Without knowing that there was something there to look for, I would have missed it entirely. Pic #3, don't remember ever having seen pics of ghost pods. Awesome.

It takes a little practice to spot them but once you do it's not a hard as you think. This plant with the pods was only about 5 feet off the ground but a few of the seedlings where about 10 to 12 feet up.

Ghost orchid seed pods
WOW, look at those pods. How many seeds could such pods contain. Of course, just a small fraction of the seeds will sprout, probably, but even those will give you something to admire. Thanks for your diligence in finding this amazing plant.

Thanks everyone!
Hey Royal! You must be drooling over them! I would have loved to pluck one for you but we all know they need to stay where they are. We took notice that every Ghost we saw yesterday was on a Pop Ash trees.
