I love the Listera australis scottii. We don't see them down here. I need to get up your way!

First set look like Listera sp. Nice finds!

Sorry I had everyone scratching there heads but for some reason when I checked the post it didn't show the pics so I just sent them with another pic.

Thanks Dave for placing them there?

The pics after the Listera are both the Platanthera and the Spiranthes together.

Very orchid rich area. There were approximately 30 orchids within a few yards mixed with the Spiranthes.

It seems this is a good year for the Platanthera flava as I am seeing an abundance of them coming up everywhere I am searching.

Come on up Dave all the orchids seem to be sprouting and the early bloomers are blooming.

Yes the biggest one was about "maybe" 4" tall including the flower. I took our other biologist and an intern out with me today and had them try to find them...I had to stop them fast as they almost stepped on the whole batch of plants.

We also chased away a mess of large hogs and a sow with very fresh piglets and she would not leave the area. I hope the Listera's are not on the menu!

that last photo is actually not a Listera, but some sort of dicot seedling poking up...they are a definite Listera doppelganger (and vice versa).

Prem

I had a previous posting and the pics didn't attach (see threads). Dave saved the day and attached the photos to this thread. I sent a seperate post.
That photo is of some sort of "jelly mold" fresh as can be from the rains.
