Default Enc Tampense and another unknown

These were taken locally. I went to see how this past flower season did with sead pods. and, not so good. Either someone is picking them, or animals are eating them..

This FL butterfly is close to the beach...

This one is in someone's front yard, near New River...


And this one is huge. The non-native specimen is about 6' tall, with 6' or longer flower spikes (post flowering)...

Great pics, I love seeing them growing like that in such a natural way. Shame about the lack of seed pods.

The non-native is a Myrmecophila, formerly included in Schomburgkia. Mostl ikely it is M. tibicinus.
