Miguel, we're doing quite well...we were down on the 20th to do a survey with Mike Owen...got to see lots of mature plants and seedlings...I posted a few of the new pictures to my ghost page:

Ghost Orchid, Frog Orchid, Palm Polly (Dendrophylax lindenii) Information Page at Florida's Native and Naturalized Orchids

A very cool find. I have to say if it had been me looking, I would most certainly have found it after stepping on it. I once read that the best way to look for terrestrial orchids is to squat down on all fours and get a bugs eye view of things. Thats when you are most likely to see stuff sticking out of the ground.

Thankfully, in the swamps most of the terrestrials are elevated on tree stumps and logs. They would not survive in the standing water that covers the ground for at least half a year.
