hello every one i'm a new member at the orchid board.
i Have an vanilla planifolia plant that is about 9.6 inch long and it have not bloom and i wonder if you guys could help me to get it to bloom ,, the plant it self looks really healthy , the plant has long leaves about 15 to 20 cm long with a thick vine about 2.5 to 3 Cm in diameter . the plants leaves are evergreen in color and it does not get direct sun light.. ,,,

if any one could help me about it would be wonderful

i'm sorry the plant is 9.6 foot long not in inches

Randy,

In order to get your vine to flower, I'd recommend high light levels and a dry spell during the winter months...this usually does the trick for spring flowers to appear. But, keep in mind that the vine needs to be much longer that what you currently have (at least double the length) and the vine shouldn't be growing straight up (it needs to grow horizontally at some point or even trail back down whatever it's growing on).
